Located within the exclusive Vanderhorst Plantation neighborhood, 212 Glen Abbey promises guests a peaceful retreat. Overlooking a tranquil lagoon, this home sits adjacent to the 'alley of oaks' bridge. You are within minutes to having your toes in the sand, walking Kiawah's 10 miles of pristine beach. Nestled amidst Kiawah’s signature foliage of mature oaks and palm trees, this home sits at the end of a long driveway that backs up to the lagoon. Upon entering through the front door of this fully furnished home, guests are greeted with a spacious living room, featuring soaring vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan, hardwood floors, a marble-surround fireplace, custom built-in bookshelves and entertainment center, a wet bar, and natural light streaming in through sliding glass doors leading to a rear deck. Just adjacent to the living room is the dining room, which also features access to the deck through sliding glass doors. A charming sunroom is located next to the dining room. Surrounded by windows, this tile-floored room makes residents feel as if Kiawah’s beautiful outdoors have been brought inside—the ideal spot for relaxing with a good book, chatting with a friend, or simply enjoying a morning cup of coffee.

The fully equipped kitchen features tile floors, a center island, and a breakfast nook. Also located on the first floor is the spacious master suite, which also features vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan, and calming lagoon views through large windows. The elegant master bath includes two skylights, tile flooring and tile-surround walk-in shower, a Jacuzzi tub, as well as his and her sinks. Regarding the rest of the interior, this home also includes three guest bedrooms and a large 'FROG' offers a spacious area for entertainment. A large rear deck provides endless opportunities for enjoyment—whether dining alfresco, visiting with friends, or simply soaking up the beauty of the lagoon views and Kiawah’s natural surroundings.

As our guest, you will have access to 5 Championship Golf Courses – including The Ocean Course – the location of the 2012 PGA Championship; The Kiawah Island Resort Tennis Center - #1 ranked by Tennis Resorts Online; Free Wireless Internet Access; Our Local Property Management team is on hand in case of emergencies and their friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff can assist you with any needs throughout your stay.     What a beautiful home! Our first night there, we were greeted by some of Kiawah's wildlife - deer at the end of our tree lined driveway and an alligator who came up out of the lagoon to check out the smells coming from our grill.
    The home is perfectly suited for a variety of activities...nice large dining spaces, home entertainment room situated away from sleeping areas to minimize disruption to those early to bed and a beautiful sun room and large outdoor deck for relaxing mornings with a cup of coffee or dinners and evenings post-beach festivities. It was very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glassware and a great set of pots, pans and utensils. Also very nice was the large ice machine in the kitchen - this definitely came in helpful to fill coolers and chill beverages for our family.
    One of the best parts of this home was the close proximity to the beach. It's just a short walk down the deck stairs to the bike path, and in 5-7 minutes walking, you are at the gorgeous beach to enjoy your time off.
    We love Kiawah and this was one of our most memorable and enjoyable rentals.

    Our 2 grown children, son-in-law, 2 beautiful grandkids (age 2 and 5 years), my wife and I had 14 wonderful days in May 2017 in 212 Glen Abby. My wife and I previewed this home 6 months earlier and knew it would be perfect for us. The 4 bedrooms, LR, DR, kitchen, sunroom and laundry area are spacious, well situated, and well furnished. Our son had to work half of each day on his computer and the office/study and desk on stair landing were perfect for him. With the young children, we were very careful with the frequent presence of alligators which would climb up the lagoon bank behind the home and rest there. We learned that the Kiawah gators do not fear people as they do in the wild, probably due to Kiawah visitors tossing food to them unfortunately. Beautiful beaches less than 5 min. walk and miles of bike/walking trails were greatly enjoyed daily. With several visits by our clan to Kiawah the past 5 years, this home was the most beautiful and enjoyable of any previous rental home.

    The house is beautifully done and very comfortable which made our visit more relaxing. There was enough space and rooms for our guys who wanted to watch the All Star Game as well as those who wanted to sit and visit and those who chose a quiet corner to read. We ate in for most breakfasts and lunches and only 2 evening meals. The kitchen was furnished with everything we needed. The ice maker was a great addition as we used a lot of ice! Everything was clean and in excellent repair. The description of the property came close but in reality the property was even better than we had imagined. The walk to the beach was easy and we timed it...exactly 5 minutes. The property manager was friendly and helpful and she sent information promptly. She was always friendly when we had to bother her with some question or another. We felt that we were in good care. We would highly recommend 212 Glen Abbey to our friends. We have been coming to Kiawah Island for 18 years and we come back because we love the island. This is truly the nicest house we have stayed in. We enjoyed a day in Charleston and dinner in town one night. The guys (unfortunately none of us 'girls' golf) went golfing twice. We spent some time every day at the beach. It was great having the family together for a whole week. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    As always, a great Kiawah experience. Lots of nature this time around---alligators, turtles, crabs, dolphins, deer, racoons, and an eagle! This was our first time at 212 Glen Abbey and I think we may be back---location was great, and the house layout worked well for our families.
